Recent Columbia Club Review: "My husband and I stayed at the Columbia Club this past weekend during the NCAA tournament. It was in the perfect location for downtown Indy. Everthing is in walking distance, and the view is amazing. It is literally right in the middle of everything. The hotel has done a great job with updating, the tv's were HD good size, and good quality, the bed was very comfortable and there wasn't too much furniture in the room. The bathroom was a little small, but you dont spend much time in there so it wasn't a problem. The room service wasn't too expensive and they have a good selection. The employees and managers were outstanding and very very friendly. This hotel was great, the ceiling wasn't leaking and the water was not brown like someone previously stated in their reviews. The dress code for breakfast isn't too bad, just no cut-off shorts and shirts or hats. You can wear jeans. We will most definately go back and stay at the hotel again. It was very affordable and you are treated well!"

| Amazing that a hotel of this caliber is operating in the dark ages as it is! Our antiquated TV seemed to be controlled by a ghost -- one minute it would just stop and another it would come on blaring so loud we had to put our hands over our ears. When we called guest services they said they'd contact their engineer and of course nothing was done. They don't need engineers, they need new modern TVs. No refrigerators or wet bars in room and nothing but room service. Food was excellent however. If you want a nice hot shower, forget it. Cold to mildly warm showers with no force. The shower gels, shampoo and lotion etc were from a discount brand and a coconut lime fragrance. That is something you would expect in Key West or a more beachy environment. So odd! They should have been something like an apple fragrance or basic milk soap or something traditional and high-end like L'Occitane. We were really looking forward to our night out on the town and having some good memories from the beautiful architecture/interior of The Columbia Club but the hotel needs some renovation work and upgrades in the room. |

| We have stayed at this hotel before with no problems, however, this past visit was not good. There was a wedding at the hotel and we were apparently stuck on the floor with the party crowd. After several attempt to get the rowdy group to quiet down in the hallway and the room next door we called the front desk. They said they would send security. They didn't. The second call prompted a visit from a "guy" who basically asked the group to quiet down. The third time was not a charm. If we ever stay at this hotel again we will be sure to ask if there is a wedding that weekend! |

| The best location in the city. Beautiful historic building and really nice employees. However, the bed was about at terrible as you can imagine and it took 9 minutes before the shower water got warm. |

| The Columbia Club has easily the best location anywhere in Indianapolis, being right on Monument Circle. That location does mean that there is no on-site parking, and valet parking costs $22 a day. The hotel is also a private business mens club, so neat dress is expected of guests staying in it, especially in the common areas on the ground floor. It would not be a suitable hotel for students or backpackers.
The rooms were of a good size, though rooms at the back are darker have an uninspiring view of a multi-story car park. Rooms at the front are brighter and look right down on the soldiers and sailors monument.
The only negative point I have about this hotel is the hit and miss wi-fi access in some of the bedrooms and the length of time the hot water can take to flow through the faucets. |

| This is a century-old men's club with dark mahogany, a carved stone fireplace you could drive a truck into, a pool in the basement, and fine service. The room was lovely and quiet, the location excellent. My only problem was the water pressure in the shower was inadequate in room 519. Odd, because the water pressue in the tub was great. I'm not sure if it was a structural issue, or just one room. |

| Old World elegance with modern appeal! This is definitely a well kept secret in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Although this has been a private members only club, it was nothing short of genius to open this facility up to the public as a hotel. I hope the general public does not deface this gem of a hotel! |

| I love historic buildings and to be honest, this place was absolutely beautiful inside and out! However, there was no hot water. We each had to take a cold shower. After I complained they canceled the $22 overnight parking fee, so I guess that is how much a hot shower costs. The only way to open the room's door was to shove your shoulder into it. The front desk said that was normal this time of year because the doors warp in the humidity. All I know is that my mother would not have been able to open it and we woke up the entire floor at 1AM when we opened it. Oh, there is a "dress code"... basically suit and tie. They did not enforce it, but still made us feel unwelcome. |

| Classic old hotel, original fixtures and fittings, its all timber, marble etc., has its own library and archive, very central, its right in the heart of Indianapolis, close to shopping centres, restaurants etc., helpful staff |
