Recent Gatehouse Suites Indianapolis Review: "My wife and I thought this hotel was fantastic! Here are more details:
pros:
-good location and easy freeway access.
-many restaurants and stores nearby.
-continental breakfast was nice. it usually included scrambled eggs, a biscuit type item (crescent, etc.), and a meat (sausage usually) at one spot; make it yourself waffles, toast, dry cereal (3 choices), yogurt with toppings, fruit, coffee, milk and juice (orange, cranberry, and apple). it was minimal, but everything that we needed.
-otis spunkmeyer cookies around mid-day with 4 choices.
-lite evening dinner (monday through wednesday only). this was very minimal, but delicious. one day was meatloaf, one day chicken alfredo pasta, one day hot beef and cheese sandwiches. they also served salad with it. we really enjoyed every meal, served 5:30-7:00.
-free visits to the nearby (1/4 mile south) golds gym.
-very friendly and helpful staff. they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed.
-amazing value for the price. our room was a studio suite. it had a "family room area" that was a small couch facing a 27" (i think) tube t.v. which was right next to the fireplace (supply your own wood). there was a small desk next to that and the bed was at the other end of the room. behind the couch was a very nice kitchen with full refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. the bathroom sink countertop was marble and the bathroom, entryway, and fireplace floors were tile while the kitchen floor was a faux hardwood. the decor was very good, but not amazing. and the cleanliness was also very good, but not terrific (a couple of small spots on the wall and a small hole in the bed sheet). they had the usual in room coffee and hot tea but they also included a complimentary bag of microwave popcorn, which impressed us.
