| Our stay at this Microtel was seriously lacking. It's my first terrible experience with this chain, so I was very dissapointed. We reserved a non-smoking room and they put us in a smoking room that had NOT been cleaned. We went back to the front desk to inform them, and they informed us, no you ordered a smoking room. Very rudely. And we showed them our reservation with the non-smoking confirmation. They acted like we were ruining their life by not wanting to stay in the smoking dirty room. Very unpleasant. They finally gave us a non-smoking room that was in awful shape. The doors wouldn't close well, it didn't smell great, there were gross stains on the floor... For breakfast there were two types of cereal and NOTHING else. No milk. No coffee. Not recommended. |

| When I first walked into the room the smoke alarm was sitting on desk w/o a battery. There wasn't a smoke alarm anywhere else in the room. I called down to the front desk and they brought me a battery and attached the alarm to main wiring in ceiling. Staff stated that occupants take them out so they can smoke. How did the cleaning crew not notice the alarm sitting on the desk?? And replace it before the room was rented out....

| Front desk staff was helpful and friendly. Room was large enough and included a window seat. Air conditioner was hard to regulate temperature on. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast included bagels, cereal and muffins. |

| The good news is that the room was clean and comfortable. However, our stay did have its shortcomings. Due to large demand we were given a handicap accessible room. No complaints. The room came with one towel and one washcloth despite the reservation being for two people. The large bathroom had no sleves. I didn't know that a handicapped person would never require a shelf or a small plate to put one's soap or shampoo. The morning breakfast was a joke. First they were out of orange juice. I had to raise my voice to wake the clerk behind the counter because he was sleeping ... at 8:20am. He handed us a gallon of juice which I put out for the guests to share. A few minutes later we were out of milk. Again I went to the counter and again the clerk was sleeping. After waking him a second time we were given a gallon of milk with maybe 8 ounces in the container. The muffin tray was empty but I had had it with the clerk so I just let him continue sleeping. |

| Room was small as expected, requested non smoking but there was an ashtray in the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Good price and location in regards to Downtown Indy and Indy Speedway. |

| Being a budget hotel for a very low price, I didn't go in expecting much, but I'm not sure I even got what I expected. The room was small, but well designed, so that was not an issue. The bed was somewhat stiff, and the blankets were scratchy and thin.
The room was...marginally clean. no obvious stains but I did find a grocery store receipt under the foot of the bed that wasn't mine, so they obviously don't do a rigorous job.
My main issue with the hotel however, is that there were a bunch of small issues that showed they obviously do not care about maintenance of the hotel rooms. The smoke alarm was connected, but dangling from the ceiling. The air conditioner vents were broken, and the conditioner itself was very noisy. I would have opened the window, except the screen outside the window was ripped open, and I didn't want the room full of bugs. The remote control for the television did not have working batteries in it. One of the main lights in the room was burned out. The TV itself was very old, and seemed to be on its last legs, as the picture was dark and flickered. The outlet in the bathroom did not work.
Being a budget hotel, I didn't expect much of a breakfast, but I'm not sure I even got what I expected. The only available food options were packets of oatmeal (but no water to add to it), two types of plain cereal, pre-packaged muffins and bagels. The accompanying drinks were milk for the cereal and coffee. There's enough room in the breakfast area for four people max.
The one thing the hotel had going for it was location. Right off the main highway that wraps around the north side of Indy, it was in a neighborhood with many dining options and a wal-mart close by for last minute needs. It was also on a main road that went straight downtown, or near the highway to get anywhere in the city. |

| A great place to stay for the money. The only downside is that there was no pool. The staff was friendly. The continental breakfast was ok. Nothing special. The rooms are clean and well appointed. The hotel is convenient to many good places to eat and shop. |

| i was in indy for a work training and stayed at 2 different hotels, first at microtel which was excellent for the money. then i stayed at marten house inn and it was more expensive i would never reccomend marten house but i will reccomend microtel. it had a very roomy shower, i felt much safer in microtel than the other. |

| This hotel was pretty awesome. The only part that i didnt like was when the lady at the desk was taking forever. Other than that i had a great experience at this hotel |
