Recent University Place Conference Review: "Since the hotel was on the IUPUI Campus, I didn't expect it to be as upscale as it was. The rooms were very nice with a warm contemporary look of cherry wood walls and marble counters in the bath. There were two typical hotels restaurants on site with good food, but a bit pricey. However, the College bookstore (with a Starbuck's) and student cafe is right next door, so there are cheap eats close by with snacks, etc. The location is close to downtown and it only takes about 5 minutes to drive to the center of downtown. The parking garage has unlimited in and out privileges, so you can come and go as much as you want. I was there to participate in a swim meet at the IUPUI Natatorium (which is only one block away,) so it is very convenient for any activities held there. There are also free computers available for guests to check email, which is a nice plus if you don't have a laptop. I would stay here again the next time I need to be close to IUPUI activities."

My husband was in the hospital at IU Med. This hotel is very convenient to the hospital. I was comfortable here and felt safe. The price was high but I rented through hotel.com so got a lower rate. I would stay here again. The hotel does offer a special rate for families during hospital stays.

We stay at this hotel every 2-3 months as it is close to University Hospital and my husband sees a physician there. It is a good hotel most of the time, however this time there were a few areas that did not measure up. 1st our reservation was for a King room and we were given a room with 2 double beds. The refrigerator in the room did not work and there was mold on the shower curtain and the bathroom not as clean as it could have been. Usually though we have pretty good service.

Typical of 'one of a kind' properties not associated with a brand this hotel is physically fine with lots of room for better service and more well trained and friendly staff. Overall attitude is "You must be happy as you are fortunate to be here in our quaint place". Location is walking distance to where there is some activity and resturant options. Facility is well maintained.

This hotel is especially good for guests needing to be close to the university. There are no restaurants or bars within walking distance. You'll need a car if expecting to eat, drink, and shop downtown. I did not take advantage of the free shuttle. Hotel was clean and quiet.

The hotel was beautiful and comfortable in every way. Plus using Hotel.com we saved about $50 a night compared to other reservations sites so we ended up at a very sophisticated/high end hotel and the price of a moderate hotel. The only complaint that I might have is that some of the savings were lost in the $52 parking fees for our 4 night stay. If we were paying full price the parking fee would have been difficult to pay. But all in all, a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to anyone. Close to downtown and close to other access roads to get to other areas of the city. We attended a sporting event and did some shopping both about 1/2 hour away and found it very easy to navigate. Would definitely do it all over again!

The hotel was great. They had a shuttle that took us downtown and picked us up which was really nice. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast is not include and you pay $14 a day for parking which I didn't know about. So it may be cheaper then other hotels but those were not included so it ends up being the same. The bar in the hotel is nice but the food was okay - not worth the money. We ate downtown and it was much better for the cash.

Unlike many hotels in Indy, this one is in a great location in a relatively safe neighborhood (right near the University Medical Center) and has secure underground parking (which will cost you an extra $14/night -- well worth it though).
