Recent Westin Review: "We had numerous appointments with state government officials and others around Indianapolis and central Indiana. So, the location was perfect - across the street from the Capitol and state offices - easy to get to and easy to get around.
The only restaurant in the hotel was Shula's which is a great steak house though a bit pricey. A Starbucks counter outlet is in the lobby. Two blocks away are other, more moderately priced, restaurants. As a matter of fact, there are dozens of restaurants nearby and great shopping just two blocks away in the "Center Mall" also a food court and a movie theater.
My wife wanted to bring the hotel bed mattress home with us. Seriously! The bed was very comfortable with extra pillows of varying firmness, so we felt right a home and slept well.
We caught some very cold weather, one degree wind chill each morning and a little snow, so we wished that we did not have to go out of the hotel for a simple breakfast or a simple sandwiche or soup dinner. We finally figured out that there is an indoor, second floor walkway connecting the hotel to the convention center, the mall, and other downtown buildings. This indoor walkway was much better in getting around downtown and avoiding the cold wet windy weather that we endured the first day and a half that we were there. I kept wondering why there were so few people walking around downtown on the sidewalks during rush hour and lunch times - they were all in the indoor walkways above the sidewalks.
We were very pleased and will stay there again on our next trip. Hope the weather will be warmer."

| The Westin has a great location and an outstanding staff who helped whenever needed. Rooms were nice size, good views, and clean. Only negative was that the bathrooms did not have vents and the steam from showers went throough out the whole room, although this was minor, it was a little annoying. Despite that i would stay here again with no problem at all. |

| This property is centrally located to the Convention Center, shopping, eating theatre and athletic events. Its self-contained with a lounge, restuarant and Starbucks. I find the hotel employees curtious and helpful. (They let me use their computer to check e-mails.) |

| We stayed here so I could participate in the Indianapolis Monumental Marathon. The starting line was a block away, and the finish line was about two blocks away. The area is very nice with many restaurants within two or three blocks. We had a great view of the massive, new Lucas Oil stadium, which was just a few blocks away. The only thing I can complain about is the ridiculous parking rate; we paid $50 for two nights. |

| This is a very nice hotel, but a few things marred our stay. 1. Light in bathroom had burned out and it took 2 calls to maintenance to get it fixed. 2. Parking was $25-28, more than I paid the weekend before in Chicago. C'mon folks, this is Indianapolis! 3. I removed a small bottle of wine from the mini bar to see if I could fit my water bottle in there (no), and was immediately charged $9.10 for the wine... still waiting to see if they actually removed that from the bill. Otherwise, room was nice, location was great, and price was reasonable. |

| The westin is known for the heavenly package, great beds,bath products, robes,linen, etc. The front desk staff was very professional and worked very efficient. The bellman is also friendly. Valet was the best and great with directions. |

| Stayed here one night after Colts game. Had stayed at Westin's in the past and while the room was nice, and I love the bed itself there were several problems.
These include a climate control system that didn't work very well, and a bath room that was very small, poorly lit, and had mold and some peeling paint on the ceiling in the shower. Also the shower heads were also very dirty looking.
Will not stay here again when in Indy. |

| I stayed one night an Executive Club room on October 3, 2009. Staying in an Executive Club room means that your room is on the 15th floor and you are entitled to visit a 15th floor lounge for breakfast and soft drinks and snacks at night.
The room was very small and the bathroom was even smaller. The Westin in Indianapolis just isnt on par with the other big name hotels in Indy or St. Louis. I have stayed in the Hyatt and enjoyed it much more...rooms and bathrooms are bigger and nicer.
Parking was $28 per night. Our room was very noisy and we could hear the elevator go up and down everytime it was in use. |

| We had a little trouble getting to the hotel because it's not actually located ON Capital Street but it's behind another building. You need to turn on a side street and then go about a half-block to get to the entrance. That, coupled with construction and one-way streets added some frustration to the arrival. Overall the hotel was nice and the staff was very friendly. I was concerned about the price of valet parking because I had read some reviews that said it was extremely high. We only paid $28 for the night and we didn't think that was bad at all. We were there for the Colts game and the location couldn't have been better. |

| We had a great stay in Indy. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly! The location is within walking distance to most of the downtown. We would stay again. |

| This hotel is located downtown just blocks from everything. The room was very clean and the beds - well they are heavenly as stated. I would definetly recommend this hotel. If your staying there for the weekend - don't park in the garage. You can park on the street for free after 5 on Friday. |
